Thank you for your interest in the Citizens Advice trustee board.
Citizens Advice has been helping people solve their problems since 1939. From helping people with rations and supporting evacuated children, to helping more than 2.4 million people find a way forward with one-to-one advice in 2020/21.
No one else sees so many people with so many different kinds of problems, and that gives us a unique insight into the challenges people are facing today. With the right evidence, we can show big organisations—from companies right up to the government—how they can make things better for people.
That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward—whoever they are, and whatever their problem. When we say we’re for everyone, we mean it. People rely on us because we’re independent and totally impartial.
The cost of living crisis is having a detrimental effect on our clients who are still dealing with the impacts of the pandemic. The service is needed now more than ever. Citizens Advice meets challenges with resilience to help clients with their ever changing lives.
Citizens Advice is at the start of a brand new financial year which will see us build a new strategy, strengthen our capacity for transformation while introducing new ways of working.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about helping people and can bring their own unique skills, knowledge and lived experience to the board. It’s vital that our board reflects the diversity of our communities across England and Wales including from groups or backgrounds which tend to be underrepresented.
You’ll find further information about our board of trustees across these pages.
We look forward to receiving your application.
